The African Diaspora Forum (ADF) in partnership with the Gauteng Provincial Government, is organising Africa Week Carnival and Festival from the 20th to the 27th May 2017.

The Africa Week Carnival and Festival is a multicultural event that aims at promoting human rights and social cohesion. It is an ideal platform to combat all forms of discrimination including racism, sexism and xenophobia.

As African people we have many things to celebrate together owing to the fact we are a diverse but united Continent under the umbrella of the African Union (AU). Africa Week Carnival and Festival will line up an array of events including commemoration of various spates of xenophobic attacks on the 20th May 2017 and Africa Day Celebration on 27th May 2017.

We therefore cordially invite you to come and cover this Pan African Festival that will pull together South African authorities and citizens, the diplomatic corps, the migrants’ communities, as well as local and non national artists.
