JOHANNESBURG – The King Salman Humanitarian Relief Centre donated food relief support to support vulnerable people in South Africa Wednesday.

The food donation, meant to alleviate the suffering of less privileged communities during the ongoing Covid-19 induced lockdowns and economic challenges, is expected to benefit tens of thousands of people.

An estimated 15,000 South African and migrants households will benefit from the generosity of the Saudi Embassy and the King’s Foundation on the first phase and with the holy month of Ramadaan around the corner, many other households will greatly benefit.

The Saudi ambassador to South Africa, Sultan Al-Anqari, officially handed over the donations to the Deputy Minister of Social Development, Ms Hendrieta Ipeleng Bogopane in Fordsburg, Johannesburg.
