The African Diaspora Forum (ADF) would like to thank you, for taking the lead in calming the volatile situation in our different communities after a very violent and turbulent weekend in Rosettenville. Your proactive action is praiseworthy and demonstrates firm and decisive leadership.

It is very important to join hands when fighting crime. The divisive approach used by certain leaders will never assist our communities and on the contrary worsens the situation. As ADF we expect clear, concrete and inclusive programmes from the newly elected Mayor of Johannesburg with regard to cleaning the city, providing decent and affordable accommodation to all and managing the informal sector in the inner city with a view to including the players in the private sector and hold them accountable.
